What is Toastmasters Club?

Toastmasters Club is an international nonprofit organization headquartered in the USA. It aims to improve each member's communication skills through delivering speeches and by receiving feedback from fellow members. You also acquire leadership skills by participating in the operation of the club and its meetings.

The first club was established in California in 1924 by Dr. Smedley, and more than 3 million people worldwide have been studying the communication skills of Toastmasters. At present, there are about 12,036 clubs in more than 106 countries, with the total number of 235,000 members.

Here's the brief history of Toastmasters International

In Japan, TM District 76, there are more than 90 clubs including Japanese-English bilingual clubs and Japanese speaking clubs.

In our area, area 32, there are the total of 6 English-speaking clubs 2clubs in the central part of Yokohama (Yokohama and Minato-Mirai ), Zama(Atsugi-Zama), Yokosuka (Mikasa), Kamakura and Fujisawa(STMC).
