| July. 22,Sat. 2006 | STMC Discussion Session |
| TM Kato led the session as a debate. The topic statement was "English education should be introduced into elementary schools. " @ We formed two groups and exchanged our arguments of pros and cons. The debate was quite exciting. |

| Jun. 24,Sat. 2006 | STMC Installation Ceremony & Party |
| Time: 16:30 - 18:30 Venue: Fujisawa Industrial Center, 7F Room #2 As Toastmasters' new term has come, STMC held Installation Ceremony after the regular meeting. The new club officers were officially introduced to succeed the former officers. Post-celebration Party was held in the same room from 17:00 to 18:30. |

| What points to be valued in voting for the best speaker in our regular meeting was discussed as to the prepared speech session. The discussion drifted in some way toward whether or not the best speaker be selected. But the talks were meaningful to find how members feel about voting. The further discussion will be planned some other time. |

| About 20 members gathered and evaluated our club activities of this term
to improve the quality of standard of STMC. And after the workshop, incoming and outgoing officers had the job transfer meeting. |

| We had a discussion about "Television Commercials." The leader, TM Tsujikawa led the participant's individual talk to an interesting discussion. We all had a good time exchaging ideas based on our experience and preference. |

| ( Hawaii visit : 4/11-4/16) STMC sent 17 members (including 2 Prepared Speakers and 2 Evaluators) to the joint meeting in Hawaii.The detailed report with photos is here.  |

| We held a session to learn about the new recognition system, including the new CL project. |

| Mar. 24, Sat. 2006 | STMC Discussion Session |
| TM Shiobara led the session with an interesting activity named "Two Minute-Speech." Each participant was given two topics and s/he picked up one of them and made a prompt speech upon the topic in two minutes. All the participants had a practical exercise of table topics. Thus this session always gives you chances to talk in English and have fun. Please come and join in the next session. | |
| Mar. 12, Sun. 2006 | 2006 Area 22 Speech Contest at Werk Yokosuka |
| As for STMC, overall 14 members went to cheer up our contestant, TM Naruke.
Our club contributed to running the contest by sending TM Mizumoto to serve
as time keeper and TM Hamai as vote-counter. TM Naruke won the third place! Congratulations!! |

| Mar. 11, Sat. 2006 | In-House Special Workshop by TM Terri Nii 16 People, 16 Colors Better Communication through Personality Type Assessment |
| TM Terri Nii, a CTM member of our club, is a qualified practitioner of Myers Briggs Type Indicator(MBTI), a widely-used and practical tool for psychological personality assessment. In the workshop she inroduced the theory of the MBTI and how to apply it to promote self-understanding and development, two things that are essential for Toastmastering. | |

| Led by TM Machida, we had an active "show and tell" session. Using pictures, we improvised stories to describe what was so special about the object. It was like a tall tale speech session and so much fun for both speakers and listeners. Please don't miss the next session. | |
| Feb. 11, Sat. 2006 | In-House Speech Contest |
| We had an Exciting In-House Contest conducted by our fabulous Contest Chair TM Hirota, and TM Naruke won the first place! We are very proud to send him the Area 22 Speech Contest dated on March 12. | |
| Jan. 28, Sat. 2006 | STMC Discussion Session |
| Led by TM Hirota, we had an intereting practice of debate in pairs by using the question cards, and a fun practice of table topics speech by using the picture cards. | |
| Dec. 10, Sat. 2005 | Joint Meeting -with Den-en Toshi TMC |
| It was our 4th joint meeting with DenEn-Toshi TMC in Yokohama. This time we held it at Tana, their home place. For the meeting we placed concentration on the prepared speeches and evaluation, sending unusual 8 speakers and 8 evaluators from both parties to the podium. The audience enjoyed a variety of life topics revealed throughout the session. We had a jovial moment together for X'mas party after that |

| Led by TM Tanioka, we had a very interesting discussion. We had a group work to creat original stories by associating with famous paintings. |

| Nov. 26 Sat, 2005 | Debate Workshop |
| We invited a professional, TM Inoue of Aoyama TMC, to conduct the workshop on this particular theme. This time, he provided the opinion forming training for the debate, calling on each participant to give his/her thought on set topics, like, "Husbands cook at home" or "English education compulsory at elementary schools." The majority vote judged the side in the argument of pros and cons over each topic. All enjoyed his class in laughter and relaxation. |
